If you travel directly east for about 50 miles you run into Plains, GA -- the hometown of President Jimmy Carter.

Mom is a celebrity and she was featured on the Food Network Paula's Home Cooking show.

Dr. Hogly Wogly's is one of my favorite BBQ's in area code 818. We were planning to go there last night but it was blazingly hot in the San Fernando Valley and decided against it. It's always busy there and parking is limited. Go there for a late lunch or early dinner around 3 or 4 PM so you won't have to wait.
