Last weekend we stayed in wonderful Garden Grove, CA. Garden Grove is within 5 miles of
Disneyland,
Knott’s Berry Farm and a half-dozen other tourist attractions in
Area Code 714. We got in late Saturday night only to find a full parking lot at the Hampton Inn. It turns out that they were having a wedding reception and it was quite busy.
We decided to have dinner at Knott’s. Knott’s has the best-fried chicken around and you must try it if you are ever in Buena Park. Knott’s dinner is outside the park so you don’t need spend a lot of money on the rides just to get good food. Some people were going to the take-out to bring the chicken inside the park. They probably saved lots of money doing that.
The real reason we went to Garden Grove was not for the chicken, but was to attend the
Crystal Cathedral. Pretty incredible place to worship.
